Type C - Travel Grants
NZARI will provide 20 travel grants of up to $2,500 for New Zealand researchers to present their work at the SCAR Open Science Conference from 22 – 26 August 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. All New Zealand-based scientists presenting research at the SCAR Conference are eligible, though some preference will be given to early career presenters (up to 5 years post PhD), student presenters, and researchers who do not have access to conference funds through their home institutions. NZARI will consider top-up grants where applicants have access to partial support from other sources.
Applicants will be notified in late March.
Type B – Collaborative Research Programmes in Antarctic, Subantarctic and Southern Ocean Research
The New Zealand Antarctic Research Institute (NZARI) is seeking tenders for a collaborative research programme that addresses critical scientific questions to better understand "resilience in Antarctic biota and ecosystems."
Review the NZARI RfP 2016-2 “Resilience in Antarctic biota and ecosystems” for all the pertinent information.
No more than one research programme will be funded under this RFP. Applicants are encouraged to discuss potential programmes with NZARI director Gary Wilson before submission to confirm alignment with and responsiveness to the RFP.
The application deadline is Wednesday, 30 March 2016.
